Assembly of God Church:

The youngest church in Medina, beginning in 1949 with cottage services. In 1950 the former Baptist Church was purchased to house the Assembly of God Church. A new church was built in 1970. Church goal is to provide a full Gospel testimony to the community.

First Baptist Church of Medina:

Originated in the early 1900's by several families who had been members of the Bloomenfield Baptist Church. A new church building was constructed in Medina in 1909, and the church was officially incorporated on May 29, 1919. The current building was built in 1948. An organized group from the church is the First Baptist Women's Ministry Fellowship.

English Lutheran Church:

Their first service was held on September 7, 1919, in the rented German Reformed Church. Formally organized in 1920. In 1996 the old parsonage was sold and moved, and a new basement was constructed by volunteers. A new prebuilt home was moved unto the basement that fall. A church women's society, WELCA, has several goals for mission work and spreading the word of God.

Emmanuel United Methodist Church:

The church began in 1935, originally organized by a small group of German immigrants. Moving in a church building in 1936. In 1951 the church building was enlarged with a fellowship hall and Sunday School rooms. The church continued to grow, so in 1975 the present sanctuary was built and dedicated. A very active group of the church is the Medina Emmanuel United Methodist Women.

St. Mary's Catholic Church:

Started in 1904, a new church building was dedicated on October 13, 1905. At 6:00am on the morning of July 26, 1945 the church was destroyed by fire due to a lightening strike. A new church basement was completed in 1946 and was used for worship. The upper part was delayed due to World War II shortages, but the new church building was dedicated on November 28, 1949. The church considers Medina as a mission territory, and much remains to be done.

Zion United Church of Christ:

Organized in 1903 as the German Congregational Church, Zion United Church of Christ is the oldest church in Medina. Also included in its heritage is the "English" Congreational Church which combined into Zion in the 1930's and three rural congregations. The congregation understands its history and its mission as building Christian community, both in terms of community development and betterment and in ecumenical activitiy.

The congregation regularly conducts Bible study programs, including its Monday morning Community Bible Study. Currently the congregation has an active Women's Fellowship and a Quilting Fellowship. The Zion UCC Fellowship Hall servves as the Medina Community Storm Shelter.
